GEMINI hulls are required to be strong both for their operation in the sea as well as for operational beaching or even unexpected ground contact situations requiring a strong hull. In order to achieve this GEMINI builds a box section into the keel. Into the box section woven roving is placed. The woven roving is then resined in then glassed in. An alloy section is then fitted over the keel and fixed into the solid mass of glass, woven roving and resin. This design feature ensures a very solid hull and keel structure. |
